1.1 User needs
Since their very beginnings, aeronautical wind tunnels have been used to carry out both research tests, to develop fundamental or applied knowledge, and industrial tests, to develop civil and military aircraft. In all cases, the objects tested in wind tunnels are referred to as "models".
