2.1 In quantity of used batteries

To estimate orders of magnitude, we'll use a medium-sized vehicle battery like the Renault Zoe, which is 41 kWh for 300 kg. This converts 1 kWh ≈ 7.3 kg of battery ≈ 0.120 kg of lithium (figure 5 ). In reverse, this gives 140 Wh/kg.
