6.1 Industrial and social consequences
Before being electric, the car will be connected to reduce accidents, and will gradually gain in autonomy and safety. AVs offer a chance to forge a new and better compromise between personal mobility and social impact. The future of the car is moving towards electric motorization, subject to lithium and cobalt availability and major investment. With digital production management, distribution can be carried out rationally and economically. In order to bring the first autonomous trucks to market before 2030, demonstrations are necessary and tests are ongoing.
