1. Choice of process and formulation

Microencapsulation processes enable the preparation of microparticles of the microcapsule or microsphere type (figure 1 ). The choice of process and formulation completely determines the final characteristics of the microparticles (morphology, structure, size, active ingredient content, stability, release profile, etc.).
