3. Filling the generator
3.1 Propellants
Propellants used for aerosol packaging must meet the following criteria.
Pressure: suitable for a wide range of products, sufficient to allow complete emptying of contents, not influenced by misuse (reverse position), taking into account container type (metal, bare glass, plastic-coated glass).
Odor and color: these should be kept as low as possible.
Purity of propellants: propellant manufacturers supply controlled-purity products for aerosols. In the case of pharmaceutical use, a purity of 99.8% is required, with a maximum quantity not to be exceeded for each type of impurity.
