INTRODUCTION
Starting out with limited resources and little time, a start-up is inevitably tempted to delay actions relating to overheads and non-production costs (NPP). The information system is often one of these delayed actions, as the manager legitimately wonders why incur ERP costs when there are no invoices to produce and resources should be devoted to production. Like many peripheral actions, late implementation of an information system can be very costly. In this case study, we will examine the conditions for implementing a minimalist information system to manage start-ups that need to converge with quality standards. We will draw on the possibilities offered by the open-source software sector, as well as by approaches to frugal business model construction through effectuation in the start-up context (small staff, few resources, agility, constantly adapting business model).
