5. Assembly examples

The following examples show SOFC stack elements on which a ceramic gasket coating provides the sealing function.

Figure shows a Haynes 230 gas diffuser coated on its surface with ceramic gasket. The diffuser features multiple oxidizer feed channels arriving via the peripheral groove, which are to be separated from the fuel-carrying channels arriving via the center. Insulation between the supply channels is provided by a gasket coating that wets the facing plate.
