1. Electrochemical impedance corrosion studies

1.1 Impedance measurement

The device for measuring electrode impedance is described in detail in the Techniques de l'Ingénieur article [D 901] . We will only give here a simplified device that can be used to measure the impedance of the electrode polarized at corrosion potential (figure 1 ). Even if the electrode polarizes spontaneously at corrosion potential, i.e. with zero polarization current, it will be necessary to use equipment to control the polarization point of the sample in order to impose the perturbation...
