1. Different modes of dry corrosion in industrial systems

In practice, dry corrosion of materials cannot be avoided. It must therefore be possible to control it. The most commonly accepted maximum corrosion rate v c expressed in metal recession, is 0.25 mm/year . In this case, it is assumed that the corrosion rate is constant (linear kinetic law).
