1. Definition of steel plant boundaries

At first glance, iron and steel plants appear to be well-defined units, but as soon as we look at their energy situation, we have to pay close attention to their limits, and separate the essential installations from the others, which are more or less indispensable. For the sake of clarity, we will make this study within the three main types of plant as described in the three articles devoted to them in this treatise.

1.1 Classic" integrated plant
