7. Conclusion
The galvanizing industry is constantly evolving in terms of technology, quality and quantity, due to three factors:
more diversified and more technical market demands (profiles of over 10 m to be tempered, galvanized sheets with specific aspects, etc.);
process developments to improve reliability and productivity (continuous lines for sheet metal, etc.);
the variety of possible products, in terms of appearance (flowered, shiny, chromated...), coating composition (Zn, Zn-Al, Zn-Fe...) and thickness range, with improved corrosion resistance.
Long an art, galvanizing has become a science where sophisticated technology and indispensable know-how go hand in hand with success.
