5. Integrated management: ISO 45001

The environmental approach focuses on reducing the impact on the environment outside the company. Occupational health and safety, on the other hand, aims to limit the risk of harm to people inside the foundry. These two approaches have distinct objectives, but they lead to an improvement in the overall management of the foundry's operations.

L' ISO 45001 "Occupational health and safety management systems – Requirements and guidelines for their use" is the standard for occupational health and safety. Published in 2018, it is a new international standard that provides a framework for the management and continuous improvement of occupational health and safety (OHS) particularly in companies.
