3. Shade characteristics

3.1 Chemical composition

The chemical compositions of the grades defined in NF EN ISO 4957 are given by steel class, and the ranges indicated in tables 6 , 7 , 8 , 9 are those within which the casting analysis must be contained. This standard also specifies the permissible deviations between the specified analysis and the product analysis for all grades in the 4 tool steel classes.
