7. Conclusion

Injection treatments offer a wide range of solutions for improving and/or strengthening poor-quality soils. The choice of the best technical and economic solution depends on a number of parameters:

  • The type of soil and its granularity, with each granulometric class corresponding to one or more appropriate techniques enabling work to be carried out under optimum technical and economic conditions;

  • type of geotechnical work: consolidation, waterproofing, underpinning, structures, anti-liquefaction treatment, etc;

  • interactions with existing structures and environmental preservation;

  • the site footprint for equipment and machinery in relation to the available space;

  • the cost of the work.
