1. Drilling
We describe short drillings that precede, or complete, mining or geotechnical surveys. Oil drilling is excluded.
Also known as "rotary drilling", this type of drilling involves the rapid destruction of the ground in place and the evacuation of the debris produced by this destruction.

rapid drilling, before coring, in overburden of no geological interest;
taking reworked samples for the laboratory ;
