3. Solar air conditioning

Unlike heating systems, there's a perfect match between solar energy and cooling requirements. This coincidence can be seen both seasonally and on a daily basis. In fact, it's when solar irradiation is at its highest that cooling requirements are greatest (figure 6 ).

3.1 Sorption" systems

The technique employed consists in using absorption or adsorption machines to produce cold from a hot source. The schematic diagram of an installation is shown in figure 7 .
