1. Thermal aspects

the mass heat capacity c p of air depends on its temperature and humidity. Variation in the value of c p is negligible under the temperature and humidity conditions used in air conditioning.

We will therefore use a fixed value.

We will illustrate the thermal aspects of air treatment with the case of an industrial laboratory comprising :

  • walls (walls, windows, roof) facing outwards;

  • personnel during periods of occupancy (internal contributions of sensible and latent heat);

  • internal inputs of sensible heat (motor, etc.) during the occupancy period;
