4. Thermoelectric sensors

The Seebeck effect is a very simple way of measuring temperature differences. This effect, used in thermoelectric couples, describes the potential difference ΔV occurring between two junctions created by bringing two conducting or semiconducting materials, A and B, into contact at different temperatures T and T + ΔT ( 6 ).
