3. MDE applications
The aim here is to demonstrate by example what has been said above about the value of approaching MDE through lighting needs and not just through energy consumption. The examples are real cases, for which we will use assumed names in order to preserve confidentiality.
• The first case concerns a complete energy audit.
• The second case showcases an energy optimization project carried out during an electrical network reduction project involving the complete renovation of street lighting.
• The last case refers to the lighting of a new boulevard linking business areas and lit by modern discharge sources (metal halide).
