4. Shape recognition

Pattern recognition is the process of finding patterns in a signal, and more specifically in this article, in images. A slight distinction is made between recognizing a class of shapes (looking for all triangles, for example) and recognizing a particular shape (looking for a blue car of a specific model with a certain license plate).

The objectives are manifold: finding an object or objects, trajectory tracking, augmented reality [TE 5 920] , video stabilization or super-resolution, image registration
