Birefringence phase matching
A technique for maintaining constructive non-linear interaction during propagation in non-linear material by playing on the material's birefringence to compensate for the deleterious effect of chromatic dispersion.
Optical parametric amplifier; Amplificateur paramétrique optique
A device comprising one or more non-linear quadratic crystals on which intense pump radiation and longer-wavelength radiation are incident, enabling amplification of said incident longer-wavelength radiation by optical parametric effect.
Oscillateur paramétrique optique; optical parametric oscillator
A device comprising an optical parametric amplifier inserted in an optical resonator which generates wavelength-tunable coherent radiation from pump laser radiation...

SNLO: software developed by Sandia National Laboratories (USA) to calculate various interactions in nonlinear quadratic optics (phase matching, parametric amplification and oscillation, etc.). This software is distributed by AS-Photonics (USA), and can be downloaded free of charge for research institutes via the website http://www.as-photonics.com/snlo...
