After more than a century of research and development in the field of luminophore materials, we can see that they are still of vital importance in our everyday lives. It's a field of research in which there's always intense activity, whether in the race for luminous efficacy, in the quest to reduce energy costs or to improve lighting quality.
Luminophores are used in a wide range of applications other than lighting and visualization (lasers, optical fibers for telecommunications, security markings, photovoltaics).
