3. Reliability

The most common definition of lifetime is the time T 1/2 after which the initial luminance L 0 (arbitrarily chosen equal to 100 cd/m 2 ) is halved, at constant operating voltage. It has been shown empirically that this lifetime is related to L 0 and therefore to the initial current density :

L 0 × T 1/2 = Cte
