In 2015, overall electricity consumption for lighting in France was 56 TWh, or 12% of French electricity consumption (475 TWh in 2015) (source ADEME 2013/2014) . Since the 1970s, the lighting market has undergone two major evolutions thanks to the development of fluorescent bulbs and that of light-emitting diodes (LEDs), both aimed at reducing the power consumption of lighting sources
