Absolute or absolute essence

Extract prepared from concrete essences by hot dissolution in ethanol (washing). Insoluble compounds (or "waxes") are cold precipitated (glazing) and then filtered off. After evaporation of the ethanol, the result is a thick liquid, or sometimes a viscous paste, perfectly soluble in ethanol, making it ideal for use in the formulation of alcoholic perfumes.

Agreement

Olfactory effect obtained by blending several raw materials or single notes. The quality of its harmony depends on the balance of proportions and the olfactory intensity of each of them. Some classic chords are commonly used, others more rarely or according to fashion.
