6. Examples of cosmetic formulations

In this paragraph, a few examples of cosmetic formulations are detailed to illustrate the different functions of emollients. The oil phase of the night cream shown in table 12 , is rich in emollients (nearly 30% by weight). This high level of emolliency is typical of this type of highly occlusive formulation, providing long-lasting skin hydration.
