The anti-pollution cosmetics trend, although very recent, is rapidly gaining momentum worldwide. In 2016, anti-pollution cosmetics as a whole accounted for 38% of the market in the Asia-Pacific region, where air pollution is a real scourge, compared with just 28% in 2015. However, a study conducted by Mintel reveals that only 10% of face care products marketed between June 2017 and May 2018 contain an anti-pollution active ingredient; the even lower percentages when it comes to body care (4%), hands (4%) or feet (< 1%), open up very bright prospects for cosmetic ingredient manufacturers .
