9. Conclusions and recommendations
This article presents the know-how developed by the Nancy School of Chemical and Process Engineering in the field of residence time distribution studies. This methodology is no longer being developed, but is being applied in many other varied fields, such as water treatment plants and biomedical engineering.
The most important development in recent decades has been in signal processing, which has developed in line with advances in computing.
The article presents two examples and cannot be exhaustive. It's easy to build a flow model. There is no rigorous method for building a model, which is based on an analysis and the idea that one has of the flow regime.
