4. Development of tandem and sequential reactions

When the redox isomerization reaction is followed by another consecutive reaction, this is a case of tandem reaction . A tandem reaction is defined as a process involving transformations that create two or more bonds taking place under the same reaction conditions without the addition of a reagent or a second catalyst, and in which the consecutive reactions are a direct consequence of the function formed in the previous step.
