1. Cement industry

1.1 Crushing of raw materials

The purpose of preparing raw materials for the cement plant is :

  • bring the quarry product to a size required for prehomogenization;

  • fragment products down to a mesh size compatible with raw milling.

The crushers produce pieces with a maximum size of around 30 mm, which are then pre-homogenized. Double-rotor impact crushers offer a very high reduction ratio. Typical arrangements include a primary jaw crusher followed by an impact crusher, or a primary jaw crusher followed by a secondary gyratory crusher.
