Determining the right equipment for separating liquid vesicles or solid particles that meets the requirements in terms of performance, operating costs and investment, and is compatible with the constraints of the process, is a complex and not entirely rigorous process.

  • Constraints can be divided into three categories.

  • Particle size and efficiency constraints

These are technical elements, and we need to have properly identified and characterized the particles, their concentration, and the data relating to the carrier gas.

  • Process constraints

All relevant process data must be compiled. Do we accept a wet or dry by-product? Are there fluctuations in pressure or flow? What availability...
