Chain; chain

All or part of a macromolecule.

Copolymer; copolymer

A polymer made up of macromolecules whose chains contain at least two types of monomer units. Depending on the number of different monomer units, a copolymer is said to be binary, ternary, etc.

Statistical copolymer; statistic copolymer

Copolymer made up of macromolecules in which the sequential distribution of monomer units obeys known statistical laws.

Homopolymer; homopolymer

A polymer made up of macromolecules whose chains contain only one type of monomer unit.

Latex; latex

Colloidal-sized polymer particles dispersed in the continuous phase and stabilized by a surfactant.
