7. Conclusion
Chemistry and polymerization processes are clearly inseparable and must be addressed simultaneously. Indeed, while chemistry enables us to control the chemical structure of macromolecules, polymerization processes must be designed to meet the specific constraints inherent in the macromolecular nature of the products formed, generating viscous reaction media which further limit diffusional and thermal exchanges. In addition to this physico-chemical response, it should be emphasized that the choice of process is also directly linked to the intended application, as it enables "ready-to-use" products to be obtained, or products requiring only minor modification before use. So, depending on the constraints, properties and applications sought, polymerizations can be carried out in homogeneous or dispersed media, continuously or discontinuously.
