Centrifugal partition chromatography is a technology in the liquid chromatography family, but without a solid support. Its mode of operation offers a wide choice of liquid phases, providing complementary solutions to supported chromatography, particularly for fragile, poorly soluble molecules... While the technology is already well known for fractionating natural extracts on a preparative scale, its change of scale means that it can now be used for applications in biotechnology and industrial purification.
