Surface phenomenon whereby gas or liquid molecules (adsorbates) attach themselves to a solid surface (adsorbent).
Adsorbent; adsorbent
Microporous or mesoporous solids with specific surface areas (surface per unit mass) in excess of 600 m 2 /g, even reaching several thousand m 2 /g.
