1. Main applications

The aim of any GAR (automatic summary generation) method is to present the essence of a document in order to reduce the energy and time it would take for a person to become familiar with its content. Most of the current uses of RBM tools are to help search for information in document databases, or to monitor the content of information sources.

Today, companies, public authorities and private individuals can easily build up private document databases containing thousands or even millions of documents.
