3. Around the notion of competence

Guy Le Boterf , in his book Repenser la compétence, a new edition of which appeared in 2010, suggests fifteen concrete proposals. The first of these calls for competence to be treated as a process, rather than as a sum of resources. It also emphasizes the fact that managing people is not simply a matter of adding up knowledge, know-how and interpersonal skills, which constitute the basic triptych of competencies.
