2.1 Structure and ingredients
The basic ingredients of a "canonical" evolutionary algorithm can be described simply; however, what follows should be understood as a "recipe". Effective applications based on evolutionary algorithms are often more complex, the essential problem being to adapt, even create, one's own operators to match the specificities of the problem.
The basis of a classical evolutionary algorithm is a generational loop of populations of individuals, each corresponding to a solution to the problem under consideration
