4. The three service models
Three service models can be offered on the Cloud (figure 1 ):
Software as a Service (SaaS) ;
Platform as a Service (PaaS) ;
Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
These three service models must be deployed on infrastructures that possess the five essential characteristics listed above to be considered Cloud Computing.
