Some distinguish four deployment models. These are listed below, although they have little influence on the technical characteristics of the systems deployed.

5.1 Private cloud

Cloud infrastructure is used by a single organization. It may be managed by the organization or by a third party. The infrastructure can be located on the organization's premises or off-site.
