An approach that studies the location, relationships and spatial interactions of geographic objects. GIS is a spatial analysis tool.
geomatics; geomatic
A word formed by the double contraction of "geography" and "computer science", positioning itself as the discipline dealing with GIS.
graphic semiology; sémiologie graphique
Discipline dealing with the symbolism of an object, which can be managed through its shape, line thickness, color or line type.

Powerful set of tools for gathering, storing, extracting at will and visualizing real-world spatial data for a particular set of purposes
