1. Moving-coil loudspeakers

Moving-coil loudspeakers are electrodynamic transducers operating as transmitters.

They are by far the market leader in sound reproduction systems. This almost exclusive choice is mainly due to the fact that they are the only transducers capable of reproducing low frequencies at power levels compatible with a balanced rendering of the entire audible spectrum.
