5. Screens
Tomorrow's screen will not only have to display more pixels, but also more frames per second, more colors and more light levels. It will also need the connectivity to interface with UHD/HDR equipment.
The Holy Grail is not yet here, but manufacturers are redoubling their technological innovations to try and reach it. It will also need to include more signals, which are themselves evolving.
5.1 Technologies
There's a great deal of confusion in the field of displays, as each manufacturer files patents on its innovations and, above all, uses different terms to sometimes designate the same thing. Since we can't be exhaustive on this subject, we'll try to group together the major families.
