Function description

The distribution function is the downstream function in the DMAM chain (figure 1 ), delivering the media elements to the customer.

Digital media can be distributed either via digital networks or on digital media (CDs, DVDs, comics). The choice between these two "vectors", depending on usage, depends on :

  • the desired time between request/order and receipt ;

  • whether or not it is necessary to store on the customer's premises;

  • the number of recipients ;

  • the desired quality level ;
