7. Maps (Google Maps)

The aim of this section is to show how data from different sensors (GPS, network, compass, etc.) can be used in an application to display the user's position and orientation on a map (figure 13 ), for example. This is a new feature that has appeared on modern phones and tablets. Many applications use these maps to add, in addition to the user's position, that of nearby points of interest (stores, public services, means of transport, friends...).
