4. Interaction with sensors

The listener object (observer) must implement the SensorEventListener interface, which has two functions.

  • The abstract void onAccuracyChanged(Sensor sensor, int accuracy) function is called when sensor accuracy has changed. This function provides an estimate of the measurement accuracy. Possible values are given in table 8 .

    A measurement with SensorManager.SENSOR_STATUS_UNRELIABLE status must not be used. This value is unreliable.

    Recalibrating the sensor can often improve measurement quality.
