2. Global approach

Receiver-initiated MPLS P2MP trees are bidirectional structures. Signaling flows are sent from the terminal branches of the tree (closest to the receivers) to the router at the root of the tree. Content flows, on the other hand, are emitted by the source and distributed to the receivers from the root router (figure 2 ).
