6.1 Fixed-line networks
This section describes one of many alternatives that can be integrated into a fixed-network migration process for an ultimate move to strictly IPv6 mode, while ensuring the provision of both IPv4 and IPv6 connectivity services. In this context, we assume that the dual-stack model is deployed.
The DS-Lite service does not concern the provision of IPv6 connectivity to users, but the provision of IPv4 connectivity over an IPv6 infrastructure.
