3. Potentiometers
3.1 General
A potentiometer is a variable resistor with three outputs: two are connected to the ends a and c of the resistive element, the third b is connected to a slider whose movement on the resistive element is ensured by a mechanical control, most often consisting of :
a knob with a slot for screwdriver drive;
an axle passing through a barrel for mounting on a chassis;
a control tongue that can be operated longitudinally.
