1. Design of volume elastic wave filters
The volume elastic wave filters used in industry since the 1990s derive directly from the first filters based on quartz resonators developed in the 1930s. ; a filter consists of a circuit associating resonators which are used as electrical components exhibiting strong variations in their impedance as a function of frequency. As such, a filter model relies primarily on the ability to realistically model the electrical response of a resonator. However, the trend is no longer towards the design of a simple filter, but increasingly towards the design of a complete module, such as a multiplexer, which requires a whole range of tools as shown in figure
